A Super Multi-Layer coating is also used to suppress lens flare and ghosting for accurate color fidelity and high contrast. 

This lens features a Hyper Sonic engine to deliver fast, smooth and quiet autofocus performance with permanent manual focus overrun. The lens has a rounded diaphragm with 9 blades that gives a smooth appearance to blurred areas and offers a minimum focusing distance of 26 cm. Finally, a weather-resistant copper bayonet mount helps keep water and dust away from your equipment when shooting in harsh conditions.
